“Ring of fire eclipse to grace New England – don’t burn your retinas!”
So, apparently on April 8th, parts of northern New England will be in the path of totality for a solar eclipse. Yes, you heard that right – totality! While the Greater Boston area will only get a measly 93% eclipse. I mean, come on Boston, can’t you do better than that?
For those lucky folks in northern New England, you’ll get to witness a total solar eclipse, which sounds pretty cool. But for the rest of us in Boston, we’ll just have to settle for a neartotal eclipse. I guess we can’t all be winners, right?
The eclipse is set to begin around sunrise, so get ready to set your alarms bright and early. The peak of the eclipse, where the ring of fire will be most visible, is expected to occur around 5:30 AM. So, make sure you have your eclipse glasses or solar viewer ready to go. We wouldn’t want anyone burning their retinas trying to catch a glimpse of this celestial event.
If waking up before the crack of dawn isn’t your thing, don’t worry. There are plenty of live streams available online that will broadcast the eclipse in real-time. So, you can enjoy the beauty of the eclipse from the comfort of your own home, in your pajamas. Who said you had to actually go outside to witness something amazing?
Overall, this annular solar eclipse passing over New England promises to be a breathtaking sight for those lucky enough to see it. Just remember, safety first, folks. Protect those peepers and enjoy the show. And for those of us stuck in the 93% eclipse zone, well, I guess we’ll just have to live vicariously through our northern New England neighbors.
