So, the Denver Broncos are playing musical chairs with their quarterbacks, huh? I guess they couldn’t decide on just one guy to run the offense, so they’re trying out three different options. Talk about indecisive. Maybe they should just draw straws or flip a coin at this point.
Jarrett Stidham over in New England seems to have a bit more confidence in himself, though. He’s not about to just hand over the starting quarterback job to Cam Newton or anyone else for that matter. Good for him, I guess. It’s nice to see someone with a backbone in the NFL these days.
Stidham is talking a big game, saying he’s not going to sit back and let someone else take his spot. I mean, he was drafted in the fourth round back in 2019, so he’s definitely had to fight for everything he’s got. But let’s be real, Tom Brady he is not. Can you imagine the Patriots going from Brady to Stidham? That’s like going from a Ferrari to a used minivan.
But hey, Stidham is determined to prove himself and lead the Patriots to success. I’m sure Belichick is shaking in his cut-off hoodie at the thought of Stidham taking the reins. Or maybe he’s just laughing hysterically. Who knows with that guy.
In all seriousness, though, it’s nice to see a young player with some fire in his belly. Stidham may not have the same pedigree as some of the other quarterbacks in the league, but he’s got heart. And in a league where talent can only take you so far, heart can go a long way.
So, here’s to Jarrett Stidham and his quest to become the next great Patriots quarterback. And here’s to the Denver Broncos for keeping things interesting with their quarterback carousel. Who knows, maybe they’ll stumble upon the next Tom Brady or Peyton Manning in the process. Or maybe they’ll just end up with another Tim Tebow. Only time will tell. Cheers to the drama and chaos that is the NFL offseason.
