ATT Outage: SOS Mode Sparks National Panic, Customers Question Existence of Service
So, it seems like ATT decided to take a little vacation today, leaving millions of customers in the lurch. I mean, who needs cell phone service, right? It’s not like we use our phones for, oh I don’t know, everything these days.
Customers were left scratching their heads as their phones went into SOS mode, probably trying to send out an SOS signal to get some help from their non-existent service. And of course, ATT was quick to assure everyone that they were working on fixing the issue as fast as they could. Translation: we have no idea what’s going on, but we’re trying to figure it out.
Speculation ran wild about the cause of the outage, with some people thinking it was a cyber attack. Because, you know, why not add a little drama to the situation? ATT, of course, kept mum about the whole thing, leaving customers to come up with their own conspiracy theories.
But wait, there’s more! The outage didn’t just affect ATT customers, oh no. It also decided to mess with Verizon and Cricket customers too. It’s like the outage was playing a little game of “Let’s see how many people we can annoy today.”
As the day dragged on, customers grew increasingly frustrated with the lack of updates from ATT. I mean, who needs communication from their communication provider, right? Some people were able to make calls and send texts sporadically, but data services remained as reliable as a broken down car on the side of the road.
And to top it all off, ATT hasn’t even given a timeline for when service will be fully restored. So, basically, it’s a free-for-all at this point. Just cross your fingers and hope for the best.
So, in the meantime, if you’re an ATT customer, maybe take up carrier pigeon messaging. It might be more reliable than your phone right now. And hey, at least carrier pigeons don’t go into SOS mode.
